Brad Quick

President & Chief Operating Officer

To me, “Wealth without regret” means I’m able to dedicate the majority of my time and efforts to my Faith, Family, and Career.

Brad graduated from Purdue in 1990 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

He has worked for some terrific large corporations, such as Siemens, GE, Johnson & Johnson, and most recently Zimmer Biomet. Throughout his career, he has been blessed to advance and accept roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in the leadership of a $2B business. His roles have focused on building businesses, creating and executing strategic plans, and developing individuals, all while modeling a balance between his career, faith, and family.

When presented with the opportunity to join Vestia, Brad commented. “I know several of the individuals at Vestia, and love what they have built and would be thrilled to be part of it.”

Brad and his wife Krista live in Fort Wayne, Indiana where they raised three kids, and currently reside with their dog Wexford. Their daughter Kathryn graduated from Indiana University as a RN/BSN and works for Lutheran Health in Fort Wayne in Women’s Health - Postpartum. Brandan attends Indiana University and studies Psychology, and Nathan attends Purdue University and studies Engineering.

Tell us about something special from your youth.

I was blessed to have very supportive parents growing up. I have numerous memories from sporting events or Scholastic Awards Events where I looked out and saw my parents beaming with pride. They set a very high standard for me to live up to as a parent.

Share an interesting story about your family.

One of the most interesting stories I can share is that my mom was also my 4th grade teacher. I had to call her Mrs. Quick in class.

Where have you worked? What is the best thing that has ever happened while you were working?

I have been fortunate to work with several large corporations, including GE, Siemens, Johnson & Johnson, and Zimmer Biomet. The best thing that ever happened to me was to attend a GE Corporate Training Course on “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” (by Stephen R. Covey). My intent to attend this course was to improve my effectiveness as a leader, but the most important learning I took away was to carve out time for family and worship, and my job would fill in around these events.

What is the most important thing you’ve learned about helping other people?

The most important thing I’ve learned from helping others is that it feels amazing. I’ve been blessed to go on a couple mission trips with my kids. On one trip with my daughter Kate to Haiti, I kept a journal of the experience. What struck me the most in reflecting on this journal is the amount of joy I had during this week. I had planned on going on the trip to help others, and I received much more than I gave.

When did you first realize you were interested in finance?

I’ve always enjoyed the business aspect of my professional career, including creating strategic plans, and identifying key financial levers to pull. Moving to wealth management is exciting to me as I’m now able to be part of an organization that works daily to help our clients achieve Wealth without Regret.

What are you known for among your friends?

Those that know me well would say I am extremely outgoing, and able to find the humor in nearly any situation.

What book do you always tell people they should read? Why?

Stephen Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” is a book I highly recommend. This book had a large influence on my family, faith and professional life. After reading this book and attending a 7 Habits course, I have worked very hard to have my calendar match my values.

How do you spend your time outside of work?

I love going on daily walks with my wife, sitting on my patio at night with my wife and kids, and going on family vacations. I also enjoy flying around Northeast Indiana in a single engine airplane.

One of Vestia’s values is to model “wealth without regret.” What does this mean to you?

To me, “Wealth without regret” means I’m able dedicate the majority of my time and efforts to my Faith, Family, and Career.

Advisors

At Vestia, we approach things differently than most financial firms. There’s intentionally no majority owner with their last name on the door. Instead, we have a full partnership track much like a law firm or medical practice might have.

These outstanding advisors support the work of our partners.
