Having started her career in the orthopedic device industry, Abbey was drawn to Vestia for the opportunity to serve doctors specifically. Her attention to detail and work ethic are matched only by her desire to give physician families an unparalleled client experience as she helps track all of the details associated with accomplishing their financial goals.

Abbey graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and minors in Entrepreneurial Management and Business Administration. Abbey is passionate about creating and fostering authentic community, and founded Delight Ministries at Ball State toward that end.

Abbey and her fiancé, Alex, are getting married in July 2020. When she isn’t knee-deep in wedding planning tasks, she spends her time outside the office with family and friends – you may find her out shopping with mom and sister or outside walking her golden retriever puppy, Nala!

Where have you worked? What is the best thing that has ever happened while you were working?

I previously worked in the orthopedic device industry. I loved knowing that I was changing patients’ lives every single day when I went to work.

Hands down the best thing that ever happened to me while working was meeting my fiancé, Alex! We met while working in Zimmer Biomet’s Global Knee Division. We talk about the moment we met each other all the time – neither of us thought we were shaking the hand of our future spouse the day we met! The rest is history!

When did you first realize you were interested in finance?

I have not worked in the finance industry prior to coming to Vestia. Before starting my prior job in the orthopedic industry, I had no background in the medical devices, but I learned to love the industry. I am already coming to love the financial industry in working at Vestia!

What are you known for among your friends?

I am known for being loyal and dependable.

What is your favorite part of what you do at Vestia?

I love being able to help clients each and every day. Even though they may not see everything that I do behind the scenes, knowing that what I do at work is making a real difference for our clients makes this job really rewarding.

How do you spend your time outside of work?

I am super close with my family, so I’m often with them! My parents have a golden retriever and Alex and I have a golden retriever puppy, so we love to be outside with our dogs!

I think of “wealth without regret” in the context of both the present and in the future. I personally have a difficult time making sure that I am being present in my life and not being too consumed by the goals I have for the future. “Wealth without regret” reminds me to be present and live my life to the fullest every single day – focusing on being the best version of myself and not worrying too much about the unknown that the future holds.
